From March 16 to 20, a delegation from the Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (INAI), led by Rector A. Tologonova, participated in a training session at the University of Maribor (Slovenia). The visit was organized under the EU Erasmus+ project "DIGITECH" (Implementation of Innovative Technologies in the Digitalization of Technological Processes and Production).
Strategy and Coordination. A central component of the visit was the Joint Coordination Committee meeting. Participants defined priority objectives, finalized upcoming event schedules, and outlined expected outcomes. A key highlight was the presentation of the Sustainability Strategy, designed to ensure the long-term development of innovation within Kyrgyzstan’s educational landscape.
From Theory to Practice: New IT Tools. The training provided faculty with practical insights and real-world case studies essential for the large-scale digitalization of education at INAI. Key focus areas included:
- Artificial Intelligence: Hands-on experience in implementing joint university-industry projects.
- Education Management: Utilizing IT curriculum support systems and advanced online classrooms.
- Innovative Methodology: Adopting modern teaching formats such as "Knowledge Café" and business simulation games.
Strategic Outcome for INAI. The primary achievement of this mission is the development of a new Bachelor’s degree program: "Digitalization and Automation of Industry." This curriculum is designed to meet modern industrial requirements and global digital transformation standards.
Future Prospects. The DIGITECH project has successfully transitioned from needs analysis to the active modernization of INAI’s educational trajectory. To bridge the gap between academia and the private sector, the delegation also visited Ledinek Engineering. This collaboration provides a solid foundation for integrating advanced industrial technologies into the learning process.
