About event

Every year the Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (INAI.kg) announces a competition among graduates of Kyrgyz schools for free (grant) studies in the field of Informatics. The official competition date for the academic year 2020 will be announced no later than 4 weeks before the testing. Pre-registration is required to participate in the test at the following link: http://admission.inai.kg/

How often can I participate in the practice test?

The practice test is open from April 15 and will remain open until the official test date. The exercises will be updated on a weekly basis. The test is online so that the candidates can take the test anytime they want. The results are given automatically. To take the practice test, go to: http://test.inai.kg/.

This is an opportunity to test your knowledge, determine your chances and prepare for the main test.

What programme funds scholarships?

Scholarships are awarded to INAI.kg students within the framework of cooperation between INAI.kg and WHZ (University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, Germany) and funded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) from the German Foreign Office (AA).

What are the costs covered by the DAAD scholarship?

The tuition fee for the Computer Science major is 80.000 soms. If a candidate successfully passes the tests, the DAAD pays this amount in full or half of this amount depending on the results rating. Scholarships are granted for one academic year. With good and excellent academic performance and with diligent study and active participation in university life, the scholarship is renewed for the following academic year, otherwise it is withdrawn.

What is checked on the test?

Scholarship Candidates are tested by the Project Manager from the German side. The test takes into account the requirements of the German computer science curriculum and includes logic, mathematics and language skills as well as the candidates justification of their interest in computer science and their choice of the INAI.kg.

Alternative indicators that demonstrate special qualities of the candidate for studies in Informatics, such as special achievements in Informatics and successful participation with prizes in national or international competitions (championships) in Informatics are also considered. Interviews with the German and Kyrgyz project managers will be arranged specifically for these candidates.

What are the criteria for the test?

Criterion 1: Results from the entrance examination or the National Testing score: 25%

Criteria 2: Test score of DAAD in Mathematics and Logic Accounting: 60%

Criterion 3: Language skills (German or English) score: 15%

Who is part of the committee?

The selection process involves the project leader from the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, a representative of INAI.kg, a representative of the DAAD or the German Embassy in Bishkek. This panel decides on the basis of the documented academic performance, ranks the candidates based on the results, and determines the amount of the scholarship (100% or 50%) within the funds available.

How and when can I find out the results of the test?

A selection protocol is drawn up about the decision and signed by the project manager from the German side and a representative of INAI.kg. The list of candidates for the scholarship is posted on the INAI.kg notice board.
