Call for DAAD scholarships to study at the West Saxony University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ), Germany.
The West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ) and the Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (INAI.KG) cooperate within the DAAD programme "Transnational Education: STEP - Strengthening and Excellence through Profiling". Under this programme, INAI.KG students have the unique opportunity to receive a scholarship to study at the West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ)
The programme line "Scholarships for study in Germany" provides:
- Period: 01.09.2022 - 31.08.2023.
Target group: Students in the transnational Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in "Computer Science" of the following profiles and master's programmes:
- Bachelor degree
- "Software Technologies";
- "Medical Informatics";
- "Web Informatics".
- Master's degree programme
- "Project Systems Programming Engineering"
- "Information Technology Entrepreneurship".
Scholarships cover:
- Travel expenses - 725 € (one time);
- Payment for a three-week intensive language course in September– 600 €;
- Accommodation - 861 € (monthly).
The curriculum for INAI.KG students is developed on the basis of the courses taken at the institute, allowing students to continue their studies without major learning differences and with a minimal credit gap. After successful graduation from the Bachelor's programme, there is an opportunity to continue studying for a Master's degree in Zwickau.

Submission of the application:
Applications are accepted from students with an excellent academic record:
- six semesters at bachelor's degree;
- two semesters of a master's degree.
Required documents for application:
- Letter of motivation;
- Resume;
- Transcript;
- Scanned copies of all pages of your credit book up to the 5th semester for Bachelor's and the 1st semester for Master's degrees.
The letter of motivation should be written in German, outlining the purpose of the year's study in Germany.
German language skills:
- B1 level for Bachelor's degrees;
- B2 level for the Master's degree.
Documents must be uploaded to inai.kg. in PDF format by 23.05.2022, 23:59
Selection procedure:
- Project development (the topic will be submitted three days before the selection date);
Presentation of the project.
Selection criteria:
- High motivation to study at Zwickau and a strong interest in computer science;
- Knowledge of the German language at the required level;
- A convincing and technically excellent project;
- Excellent academic achievement.
Date of interview: 02.06.2022 - 03.06.2022.
Selection is carried out by a commission including the German Project Manager, the INAI.KG Project Coordinator, and a DAAD representative.
